4 Steps to Emotional Freedom & When Dad Became Joan
British TEDx Speaker, life coach and author of “When Dad Became Joan” with her second book “4 Steps to Emotional Freedom – How to be Happy Again After Painful Life Changes”, Cath Lloyd was a shy and unconfident student at school. Learning from her life experiences has developed her confidence, enabling her to share her voice, ideas, thoughts and feelings. Originally starting her working life as a ceramics teacher in adult education this eventually took her into teaching in male jail for 14 years and social and life skills. These teaching experiences and her dad announcing that he was going to start undergoing gender reassignment treatment made Cath see life in a different way. Life is not how it seems on the outside. Family is more complex than appears. A massive blow to family life was in 2017 when her son broke his neck. This helped her realise where her focus should be. Supporting families to restore happiness after a difficult change in her life. Cath writes, talks and shares, how difficult change can feel rather like a bereavement process. She supports families, helping them to end their sadness after a difficult change and restore calm and peacefulness to live a confident life with vitality.
Cath has spoken on local radio, Radio 5 Live and BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour as well as many podcast shows. Cath is promoting the importance of self-honesty to learn and understand yourself.
