Dustin Hayes grew up in Oklahoma, he lived in an abusive home. He didn’t do well in school. Dustin dropped out in the 10th grade. Dustin found solace in the military; it became a sanctuary for him. He thrived alongside his brothers and sisters in the service. But fate had a different plan; his dreams were shattered when he suffered a life-altering injury in Afghanistan, putting an abrupt end to his promising career.

In the aftermath, confusion and depression consumed Dustin. He found the strength to embark on a remarkable transformation, embarking on a new path as an entrepreneur. However, the success he reached in business crumbled due to a disastrous partnership.

After a battle with skin cancer, the demise of his business, and lawsuits stemming from it, Dustin battled things in his family life that helped him hit rock bottom. Between addiction and suicide attempts within his home, he found himself fighting battles on each front. He, too, contemplated suicide multiple times.

Now, with a good support system and a new passion for coffee, Dustin joins Unfiltered Discussions to talk about his journey and ability to overcome.
