Professional Diabetic
Mitch is an entrepreneur and aspiring journalist, world traveler, and podcaster, all while living life with diabetes. He was diagnosed weeks prior to turning 15 and has lived with type one, insulin-dependent, diabetes for more than 22 years. He has learned many lessons, many of which through the lens of chronic Illness. Through many obstacles, such as neuropathy in the eyes, depression, anxiety, and hospitalizations, Mitch has learned to treat people with compassion and empathy, as many, like him, are dealing with battles no one really knows about.
Now, starting new chapters in his life as a “dad” and a business owner, Mitch strives to be the best version of himself in hopes of inspiring others who may be struggling with similar situations, showing them that even though you may have something like diabetes, it, in fact, does not have you. Mitch's motto: "Love your life."
